What form of cricket should I register for in 2025/26?
Our club provides the following opportunities for junior cricketers:

Lindfield U7 Skills Clinic for boys & girls aged 5 - 6 yrs old (Kindergarten) - Lindfield Oval on Saturday mornings

U8 Cricket Blast Competition Program for boys & girls aged 6-8 (Year 1 or 2) - Friday Training and Saturday Game Day @ Lindfield Oval

U9 - U17 'Whites' mixed cricket, competition played against other clubs on the North Shore, games on Saturdays or Sundays (depending on the format & age group)

Sixers Girls Cricket League - girls only, 7 -17 yrs old, held Saturdays

1) BEGINNERS
U7 Lindfield Cricket Skills Clinic
Ages: 5–6 (Kindergarten)
When: Saturdays, 8:00–9:15 AM at Lindfield Oval
Length: 12-week program (with wet weather make-ups) October to February
Our popular Saturday morning program introduces young players to cricket and general ball skills in a fun, supportive setting. No experience needed . Parents participate alongside their children.
Each session includes skill-based games & fun modified cricket matches. Enjoy breakfast from the Lindfield BBQ afterwards!

U8 Woolworths Cricket Blast
Ages: 6–8 (Year 1–2)
Training: Fridays, 5:00–6:00 PM at Lindfield Oval
Games: Saturdays, 8:00–9:30 AM at Lindfield Oval
Season: September to March
Ideal for players progressing from our Skills Clinic or new to cricket. Players are placed into teams with parent coaches, supported by club mentors.
No scores or finals - just participation, learning, and fun!
Girls-only teams are encouraged, and older girls new to cricket are welcome.
2) BOYS/MIXED COMPETITIONS
NSJCA (Northern Suburbs Junior Cricket Association) Junior Cricket Competition
Who: Boys & Girls aged 8–17
Game Days: Saturday or Sunday (depends on age/format)
Season: September to March
Games played across North Shore locations.
This is the next step for players who have completed U8 or are ready for weekend competition cricket.
Girls are welcome to play in mixed teams - or in girls-only teams (see below).

3) GIRLS ONLY CRICKET
NSJCA Girls Only Cricket - Sixers League
Ages: Girls aged 7–17
When: Saturdays
Season: September to March
Format: Modified rules for maximum participation
Uniform: Coloured team kit (not whites)
Games played across North Shore locations
Girls play against other girls’ teams in the NSJCA Sixers Girls Cricket League. Skill level is the key factor when choosing a team, not just age. This welcoming environment is ideal for both beginners and experienced players.

Optional: Play in Multiple Teams
Keen players can join two teams (e.g. Saturday T20 and Sunday 30-over).
Extra fee: $140 for a confirmed second-team place.
Girls can also play in both mixed and girls-only competitions.
