Hello Lindfield Junior Cricket Families, We hope all our cricketers had fun and enjoyed what turned out to be a full summer of cricket with very few washouts. This season Lindfield registered over 380 junior cricketers forming: 30 x strong boy and girl teams from U9-U17s, 4 x U8 Master Blaster teams and our newest cricketers attending the U7 Skills Clinic. In our competition teams we had 10 teams out of 26 finish on the ladder in the top 4. A great season of cricket by all, congratulations! But not to worry, it won't be too long before we're back again ;) PRESENTATION DAY We celebrated the successes of all our teams and players at our presentation day at Acron Oval. A great turn out, despite the heat. Click here to view all our Club Award winners for this season. We had the additional bonus of watching our Lindfield 50s playing their finals and showing the pathway for our cricketers - from cradle to grave! TEAM PHOTOS Team photos have come back and they look fantastic. Further pick up dates will be available after the school holidays for those who are yet to collect - these dates will be communicated shortly. U17s PATHWAY TO SENIORS CRICKET With typical focus given to recruiting young players to the club, each year we farewell a group of U17s players. Our club pathway from Juniors Cricket is to Lindfield Seniors who participate in the NSW Shires competition. Steve Watts our Senior Club Captain will be happy to answer any questions you may have. (Email us) PLANNING AHEAD As we finish one season the committee turns its focus towards discussing the season that was, and planning ahead for the season that will be. We would love to hear from our cricket community:
Any thoughts or comments you may have on how you feel we could improve the junior’s operation, its communications, coaching, player development, social events, anything really!
All constructive feedback is welcome (Email us).
HELPERS FOR NEXT SEASON To help support our 380+ cricketers, and their families, there are a few (very easy and not very time-consuming) roles that we need some help with next season. If you are eager to join in on the action then check out the opportunities to be involved below and let us know where you may be able to help. If you have any questions please ask! (Email us):
Uniform sales and distribution of pre-orders on Back to Cricket Day (Time commitment - September, one day for a couple of hours)
Equipment & team kit bag preparation for the new season (Time commitment - September, one day for a couple of hours)
Agree to be on an 'ad-hoc' register. We have smaller one-off tasks that often crop up during the season. You may receive a request for help and you can respond according to your availability at the time
U8 Master Blaster Coordinator: To liaise with parents, coaches and the club to assist kids enjoying cricket for the first time. To encourage cricket pathway from Master Blasters to Junior Cricket. Would suit a Master Blaster parent.
Junior Age Coordinators: These are non-executive support roles, you will not be required for committee meetings (although welcome to attend). Assisting the registrar help to form the competition teams for the assigned age groups.
Girls Coordinator
Stage 1 - U9 Age Coordinator
Stage 1 - U10/11 Age Coordinator
Stage 2 - U12 Age Coordinator
Stage 2 - U13 Age Coordinator
Stage 3 - U14/15 Age Coordinator

If you think you have some skills/expertise that could add value to the club please do let us know. We’d love to hear from you!
