Hello Lindfield Junior Cricket Families,
Here is a roundup of the season just gone and what’s been happening behind the scenes at Lindfield Cricket.
This season has been a fantastic one for Lindfield Junior Cricket, both on and off the field. We saw strong growth in our numbers and were thrilled to welcome the Cricket Blast competition back to Lindfield Oval.
This year, Lindfield Junior Cricket proudly welcomed over 460 cricketers, up from 360 last season. With a total of 42 teams from Cricket Blast to U17s, plus our U7 Skills Clinic participants, the club has been buzzing with energy and enthusiasm.
It was a fantastic season! Across our competition teams (U10–U17), we had:
4 Championship Teams - finishing 1st overall
2 teams finish 2nd
13 out of 30 competition teams finish in the top 4
A brilliant result for the teams and for the club - congratulations!
And don’t worry... the next season will be here before we know it!
PRESENTATION DAY On 15 March we celebrated another great season at our annual Junior Presentation Day. Click here to view all our Club Award winners for this season.

Contact Club President Steve Watts for more info. (Email us)
LOOKING AHEAD – WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK As we reflect on this season and plan for the next, we’d love to hear from you:
What worked?
What could be improved?
Suggestions for coaching, communication, events, or anything else.
All feedback is welcome. (Email us).
CAN YOU HELP IN 2026/27?
With 460+ junior players, we rely on a few key volunteers to keep things running smoothly. Most roles are short-term and low time-commitment. If you have any questions please ask! (Email us):
Uniform sales and distribution of pre-orders on Back to Cricket Day (Time commitment- September, one Sunday for a couple of hours)
Equipment & team kit bag preparation for the new season (Time commitment - September, one day for a couple of hours)
Agree to be on an 'ad-hoc' register. We have smaller one-off tasks that often crop up during the season. You may receive a request for help and you can respond according to your availability at the time.
U8 Cricket Blast Coordinator: To liaise with parents, coaches and the club to assist kids enjoying cricket for the first time. To encourage cricket pathway from Cricket Blast to Junior Cricket. Would suit a Cricket Blast parent. (Time commitment – Fri night training and Sat morning game day)
Junior Age Coordinators: These are non-executive support roles, you will not be required for committee meetings (although welcome to attend). Assisting the convenor help to form the competition teams for the assigned age groups. (Time commitment – a couple of hours during the registration period, minimal during the season)
Girls Coordinator
Stage 1 - U9
Stage 2 - U13
Stage 3 - U14/15
If you think you have some skills/expertise that could add value to the club please do let us know. We’d love to hear from you!
Best of luck with your winter activities – we’ll see you again soon!
Thanks again for being part of the Lindfield Cricket community.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out juniors@ldcc.com.au
Warm regards, Larissa Holmes
